Skylar was born June 23rd 2002, and she was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome right after her 2nd Birthday. She was a happy go lucky baby girl who meet all of the milestones besides crawling and walking, but then the things she could do slowly started to disappear she never did or crawl, she started with her hands and not being able to hold onto stuff for as long or reaching and grabbing things. things got worse for her and then we got the news my beautiful girl had Rett Syndrome.
She now has seizures, is in a wheelchair, had spinal fusion surgery April 16th 2014.
Rett Syndrome has stolen her ability to walk, to talk, to feed herself etc. BUT...... RETT Syndrome has not stolen her LIFE , her LOVE, her Smile or her Spirit. She loves to be outside, Loves going to concerts and sports games. loves the water and would live in the pool if we would allow her to. Sky loves to be around her friends and family, She is the light and love of our family and friends.
