The Fluffies and why I support Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando
If you know me for more than five minutes, you will quickly figure out I am obsessed with Rigby, Ellie and Fredo (“The Fluffies”) and my passion for animal rescue. I cannot imagine my life without having them in it. Yes, they are a lot of work. Yes I am a neat freak and my house is in a constant state of deep cleaning and organizing, but they are so worth it. The love that I receive from these little lost souls is unconditional and no matter how bad of day I’m having, they make life better. These three have varied pasts, but we’re united in building a life together.
I am in awe of individuals who can work in animal rescue, as I don’t know if I would be able to handle the day to day trials and tribulations they go through with each rescue. I know I would be a foster fail, as I don’t think I would be capable of having an animal in my home, and being able to let them go on to another family.
Form me, this is why it’s so important to support rescue organizations. I want to see these programs flourish and encourage public education about proper pet care to help avoid overcrowding at our local shelters and rescues or all out abandonment. These aren’t just animals, but beings with feelings just like us and the capability to love unconditionally, no matter what the circumstances.
If you haven’t attended Paws in the Park before you and your canine companions are missing out on a wonderful event. Even if you don't have a dog, dog lovers alike are welcome to attend. There are activities for both hoomans and fluffies alike, that celebrate the wonder that is animal ownership. The Fluffies and I hope you come out to join us on February 10th at Lake Eola. See you there!
