Back in 2017 my mom was diagnosed with PF and we instantly saw the negative impact it had on her favorite hobby, riding her bike. My mom is one of the most charitable people I know and each year for over the past 6 years she would spend a lot of her free time training and raising funds for the MS 150 bike ride. Now that she is not able to ride as much as she used to I decided to host a bike ride for her locally to raise awareness and funds for PFF. This year will be the second Oxy Moe ride with last year raising close to $5000 and having 50 people participate. I hope to double both of these numbers this year. The ride will start in East Austin at the Martin Picnic shelter before winding through the City’s bike paths for around 10 miles and ending up at the same location. Last year we started organizing the event one month beforehand and through the amazing generosity of local sponsors were able to put on a great even. To make this year even better I am teaming up with PFF to get a speaker who has gone through treatment as well as an ambassador who can help let everyone how much good this organization is doing.
