My name is Tiffany Sherman. I am a wife, mom, public school art teacher, and a runner. I have run two half marathons, and I am currently training for a third that I will run this April. I plan to run the Galveston Marathon in 2020 with the goal of qualifying for Boston.
As I run, I would like to honor my Uncle, Mike Moore, who passed away from Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD) on Feburary 6, 2019. I will run multiple races in the next year to raise awareness of CJD, which is a rare prion disease that is fatal and currently without a cure. This fundraiser is to support the mission of the CJD Foundation, which is to support families affected by prion disease, raise awareness, and support medical education and research.
I have run distance for years and what I have learned is that the running community is wholehearted in not only racing to raise awareness for diseases like CJD, but also raising funds that support research. I am not asking for a specific donation amount so that you can give what you feel led to. I believe every dollar will help make an impact! Please share this link. Thank you for your support!
I’m so proud of you for not only running the race for Uncle Mike, but for allowing me to run the race of life with you.
Thank you, Tiffany!
So proud of you!!! RUN TIFF! RUN!
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us RUN with perseverance the race marked out for us,
Tiffany thank you so much for doing this for Uncle Mike. Love you
