I know what you are thinking: “oh no, time to donate to the Human Society! How the heck did I get on Schrader’s list anyway?” The answer is I know YOU are a loving, compassionate and engaged person. The amazing people of the Humane Society, employees and volunteers, share a love for and desire to change the lives of pets, their families or future families, and find ways to help people who need a pet in their lives. You are someone who does not want to see one more puppy die of parvo, or a hungry kitty on the streets, or a lonely person who desperately needs a companion.  Where else can your support go so far?

Our Humane Society each year regularly serves around 14,000 pets in the Healthy Pet Clinic, finds forever homes for over 1400 pets through adoption, reaches under-served families through neighborhood vaccination clinics treating over 1000 pets, finding foster homes for 400 pets, providing around 4000 surgeries at affordable rates to the public, performs over 1000 in-house surgeries for sheltered pets, and supplies around 10,000 pounds of food to our senior community, and much, much more. Over a normal 5-year period this is 70,000 pets receiving top quality health care, 7000 adopted pets, and thousands of points of contact for healthcare and spreading love!

Imagine that, thousands of lives saved, thousands of lives drastically improved, engagement with thousands of pets and their families from under-served communities! Your support directly changes lives.

Affordable clinic fees, reasonable adoption fees, and support merchandise sales do not come close to covering expenses. Total expense for each sheltered dog average around $500 and more! Even a tightly run and efficient organization like our Humane Society cannot cover expenses to perform this many life-changing services. THAT IS WHERE WE COME IN!!!
