And then they are there for our surviving spouses. AFAF is truly FOR AIRMEN AND GUARDIANS, BY AIRMEN AND GUARDIANS!!!
From emergency assistance to educational assistance, to community programs, to helping widowed spouses stay in their home as long as possible, to providing a home for them when they no longer can -- the four charities of the AFAF Campaign provide assistance to us when we need it. I'm fundraising for the AFAF Campaign because not only have these charities helped people around me, they will be there for me tomorrow should I need their help too!!! Let's all pay it forward!!!
What is the Air Force Assistance Fund? The AFAF campaign is a way to give back to the Air Force community by supporting organizations that benefit both current Airmen and their families, as well as the families of Airmen who came before us.
Where does my money go? You can choose from any of the following charitable organizations:
The Air Force Aid Society: Supports Airmen and their families with emergency monetary relief in times of need and awards scholastic grants for Airmen furthering their education.
The LeMay Foundation: Assists widows of officer and enlisted Air Force retirees with staying in their home and retaining a dignified standard of living.
The Air Force Villages Charitable Foundation: Provides care for widowed retired officers spouses.
The Air Force Enlisted Village: Provides care and housing for surviving spouses of enlisted Air Force members.
