Bink Foundation – Christmas in July
Bink Foundation was created in honor of “Bink,” a childhood cancer survivor and heart transplant recipient whose strength continues to inspire our family and community.
As a child, Bink spent much of his life at Nemours Children’s Hospital receiving Oncology and Heart Transplant care. Through surgeries, treatments, and long hospital stays, he showed incredible courage and resilience. Today, Bink is thriving — and his journey reminds us daily of the power of faith, strength, and compassionate medical care.
Bink Foundation exists to give back to the hospital and Child Life team that once cared for him — and to support the children and families who are currently walking that same journey.
? What is “Christmas in July”?
Each year, Bink Foundation will host a Christmas in July event at Nemours to bring joy, relief, and encouragement to patients and their families.
Through toy donations, gift cards, gas cards, meal support, and Child Life programming, we aim to ease the stress families face during long hospital stays and treatments.
Our mission is simple:
To remind every child fighting something hard that they are not alone.
? The Heart Behind the Foundation
Bink Foundation was created by Mekhi Corbin, in honor of his older brother.
Watching Bink battle cancer and receive a life-saving heart transplant shaped Mekhi’s character, discipline, and determination. Those experiences fueled his drive both academically and athletically.
In 2025, Mekhi helped lead Middletown High School to a State Championship, and as he continues pursuing his dream of playing Division I football, he remains committed to giving back to Nemours — the hospital that once cared for his brother.
For Mekhi, this foundation is not about football.
It is about gratitude.
It is about legacy.
It is about serving families walking through hospital doors with fear — and leaving with hope.
As Mekhi enters college, he plans to contribute a portion of his Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) earnings annually to help sustain Bink Foundation and ensure Christmas in July becomes a lasting tradition.
