This year, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ride will be held throughout the entire month of August with participants riding, walking, or running on their own time to comply with social distance measures. Choose your Rochester neighborhood or suburb you'd like to create your own route in, and then share your progress with us on social media to stay connected!
The AIDS Red Ribbon Ride has been a 5-day ride since its inception 10 years ago, as an evolution of the Empire State AIDS Ride. Over the years, the route has changed, the parks have shifted, and the riders have come and gone, but the Ride has continued.
HIV/AIDS is still an active threat to all of us. While we have gained better tools to fight this virus, the epidemic is not over. Many communities face obstacles to care and treatment, and the stigma of HIV/AIDS is still pervasive.
We ride to save lives, stop new infections, and advocate for those who have no voice.
