Why are you passionate about the Ada Jenkins Center?
I am passionate about the Ada Jenkins Center because they do so much good by giving people in need Hope and a helping hand. I love the LEARN Works program and the number of children they have helped to build their academic foundation and academic progress over the last 15 years while also enhancing family engagement.
In 2010 is when I first became aware of and involved with the Ada Jenkins Center. Their mission inspired me to learn more, volunteer and coordinate ongoing support and donations with my employer Trane Technologies, fka, Ingersoll Rand and the Healthy Giving Series (HGS). HGS is focused on improving the health and wellness of our employees and family members while also giving back to the local community and generating donations to the Ada Jenkins Center.
Donations help the Center to support their mission of providing a helping hand with the goal of breaking the cycle of poverty and gain economic independence. From LEARN Works, to the food pantry and other social and health services, the Ada Jenkins team provides support to hundreds of families in need each year. They are Truly an inspiring team of dedicated employees and volunteers. Your donation dollars will be going to uplift others while also uplifting yourself because of the good we know they are able to do with the funds provided. When Mardee called and asked me if I wanted to participate in Confections For Good, a new idea created around a friendly competition to drive donations for the Ada Jenkins Center, I told her on the spot that yes I was in. Please enjoy this easy Chocolate fondue recipe which any chocolate lover will appreciate. During this time, when we are not entertaining, you can still enjoy at home with your family or provide as a dessert care package to go to a family member or friend in your community! Please vote for me and donate to the Ada Jenkins Center. I will be doing a raffle prize for those who vote for me and the winner will receive a Fondue delivery package for Valentine’s Day. If you live outside the Charlotte area, I will provide a grocery $25 gift card for you to purchase the items and do a Zoom call with you to help you make the Fondue ?. Recipe credit goes to my sister-in-law, Karen Studer.
