Much Ado Catering and Davidson College have been proud supporters of Ada Jenkins and I'm happy to join Confections for Good to raise money for such a wonderful community resource.  The food pantry, medical and dental clinics, and educational services are key to lifting up those in our community who need a hand.

Ingredients

• 1 cup brown sugar
• .5 cup granulated sugar
• 1 cup soft butter
• 2 eggs
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 2.5 cups all purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1.5 cups Valentine's M&Ms (or any candy of your choice)

1. Preheat oven to 350F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper or foil.

2. In the bowl of a stand mixer or using a hand mixer, combine both sugars and the soft butter and beat at medium speed until light and fluffy.

3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter sugar mixture two at a time. Beat until well combined.

4. Add the flour, baking soda, and salt to the mixer.  Mix on low speed until no dry flour remains.

5. Add the M&Ms and slowly mix until just combined.

6. Portion the dough into two tablespoon portions and place on baking sheets three inches apart.

7. Bake for approximately 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden.  Cool and enjoy!
