INGREDIENTS
3 ounces red wine
1 ounce bourbon
¾ ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
½ ounce simple syrup (recipe below)
½ ounce Amaro Braulio
Garnish: lemon wheels, fresh thyme, sage, and rosemary
DIRECTIONS
1. Make the simple syrup: Combine 1 cup cane sugar and 1 cup water in a saucepan over low heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and let the mixture cool. Store in a glass jar in the fridge for up to 1 month.
2. Combine the wine, bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, and amaro in a cocktail shaker. Add ice, shake, and strain over crushed ice into a tall collins glass. Garnish with lemon wheels, fresh thyme, sage, and rosemary.
