As a healthy, daily gym-going nonsmoker, imagine my surprise when a random scan of my lungs revealed a small tumor that turned out to be stage IV ALK positive lung cancer.

Thanks to biomarker testing, great research and the development of effective new drugs I am able to live a healthy, active, normal life in between scans. I am planning our wedding this summer, fun trips to see family and friends.

I have plans, big plans! Lots of them. Plans to keep traveling, to enjoy my beautiful family, and to see my grandsons grow! But without new research and new medications this won’t happen for me.
