Please join me as we walk to honor, remember and thank caregivers who have experienced dementia or Alzhimer's in their family.  Over ;he past four years I have fallen in love and have the upmost respect for those who access assitance thorugh the Alzhiemrer's Project.  I recently met with a former caregiaver who did not know about the Alzheimer's Project and it broke my heart..  She cared for her husband with no support. However,  she was excited to learn all we do for caregivers and now wants to make sure no caregiver has to go through this journey alone!  By joining our walk, you help your local community, your firends and neighbors.  Alzheimer's doesn't discriminate on who it effects, sadly most of us will have a family member or friend who is effected by the disease.  You can make a differnce by supportiing the work the Project does in Leon County and our neighboring counties many have few if any resources.  You can help a caregiver live longer and you can help those living with the disease not to feel so isloated.  You can help someone who wanders be brought safely back home.  You can esure joy to those who attend our social clubs (respite) through our exercise and music therapy programs.  You CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!  Come walk with me.
