I’m participating in A Million Steps for Scleroderma  2025, a virtual fundraiser supporting the Scleroderma Foundation of California! 

The foundation's mission is to empower the scleroderma community to live better lives through programs designed to educate patients and medical professionals, and provide support groups for people living with scleroderma.  It is a very rare disease, affecting .024% of the US population, with no known cause and no cure.  In our support groups, we facilitate connections as well as education.  I have been leading a virtual support group for the last year, and the foundation has provided training and resources to support me. 

The foundation also supports research in collaboration with national and international organizations, working to find a new therapies and hopefully a cure.
