Ovarian cancer – the deadliest women’s cancer – has no early detection test or universal means of prevention.
This spring, a group of ovarian cancer survivors, medical providers and caregivers will trek to the rooftop of the world to put the first ovarian cancer survivors ever on the 29,029 foot summit.
We strive to raise 2.9 million dollars for ovarian cancer prevention and early detection research and awareness.
I am climbing to inspire other women and cancer survivors and patients around the world. I am climbing to help find a diagnostic tool right NOW that will save lives and prevent this cancer type from going undiagnosed until advanced stages like it did with me. I am climbing for the future generations of girls who's lives we can save with research and prevention. I am climbing because Dr. Joanie Hope is climbing and she saved my life! I am climbing to send of my new friends on their epic record setting voyage of being the first ovarian cancer survivors to summit the tallest peak in the world. I am climbing because a little over a year ago, I dreamed of a day I could walk around the block again, or drive my kids to school, and I am beyond blessed to be in good enough health to make this journey, with my own 14 year old daughter in tow. Love to all and thanks for reading!
