Any Mountain Everest

Fighting gynecologic cancer is harder than climbing Mount Everest. The world’s tallest mountain stands at 29,029 feet, a monumental journey, but every step we take up the mountain brings us closer to the top. The Any Mountain Project is committed to summiting the toughest challenges in gynecologic cancer through creativity and research.

Cancer of the uterus is the most common gynecologic malignancy affecting women in the US.  Over the last decade the number of women diagnosed with uterine cancer has dramatically increased and survival rates have fallen. Despite these trends, uterine cancer remains a disease with low awareness and low research funding.

In Spring 2027 we are sending a group of gynecologic cancer survivors, medical providers and caregivers to the rooftop of the world.  Together we will bring much needed attention to the Uterine Cancer cause, raise critically needed reserch funds and educate and inspire our communities to learn about this important disease.

Any Mountain Everest 2027

Any Mountain Everest 2027 is a 2 week trek on the Goyko route led by professional American and Nepalese mountain guides.

Everest Basecamp Gokyo Lakes Trek via Chola Pass is an exciting trek to Everest Basecamp that takes us via Namche Bazaar and then up to the sacred lakes in the stunning Gokyo Valley. Here, we climb Gokyo Ri, one of the finest viewpoints for a panoramic view of Mount Everest (8848m) and surrounding mountains, including 8000 meters mountains Cho Oyu and Makalu. The journey to base camp continues as we cross into the Khumbu Valley through Cho La (5420m) and ultimately ascending Kala Patar (5550m) for incredible views of Everest and the astonishing Khumbu Icefall. Climbers will have the option of continuing on to Climb Lobuche, one of the 6000m peaks in the Khumbu Valley.

This trip has a minimal fundraising goal of $15,000.

Treking in the Himalayas requires a high level of physical fitness and endurance but does not require mountaineering skills. Participants should be able to hike carrying a 20 lb pack for 5-7 hours per day. Excellent physical conditioning will maximize the ability of participants to acclimatize to the rigors of high altitude.

Accomodations throughout this trek are in double occupancy tea houses. Meals and drinks are included. Personal gear and snacks will be the responsibility of the participant. Any Mountain leadership will provide training guidelines and detailed gear lists in preparation for our adventure.

Join Any Mountain for the adventure of a lifetime while taking on a challenging hike in one of the most beautiful places on the planet!
