Volunteer at Art on the Avenue!

Do you love art and giving back? Then Art on the Avenue is for you!

Volunteers are key to helping us make Art on the Avenue a success. Whether you can help for a few hours or for the whole event, your gifts of time and talent are truly appreciated!

Volunteer Opportunities Include:

During the Event (Dec. 1 & 3)

Front Door Greeter:
Greet guests as they arrive; Direct guests to the registration tables Assist with crowd control

Guest Registration & Check-In:
Assist with checking in guests using the Qgiv auction management platform (training will be provided); Assist with processing transactions; Assist with questions about the auction software or event 

Donations & Help Desk:
Troubleshooting auction process; Accepting Donations; Answering Questions 

Store Attendant:
Explain special Store section to guests, process payments, wrap items for guests to take with them.

Docent - Main Corridors:
Assist guests with questions on how to use the auction software or about the event.; Assist guests with iPad bidding; Assist guests with registering for the auction

Docent - Jewelry:
Greet guests as they arrive; Assist with wrapping sold jewelry; Assist with processing payments through auction software as needed (no cash handling); Assist guests with questions on how to use the auction software or about the event; Assist guests with iPad bidding or confirming payment of sold item; Assist guests with registering for the auction

Docent - Juried Gallery
Assist or direct attendees in the Juried Art Gallery; Assist guests with questions on how to use the auction software or about the event; Assist guests with iPad bidding or confirming payment of sold items; Assist guests with registering for the auction

Floater:
Help all positions or cover a position that needs a break; Assist guests with questions on how to use the auction software or about the event; Assist guests with iPad bidding or confirming payment of sold item; Assist guests with registering for the auction

Runner:
Assist with placing Pledge/Sold stickers on artwork info sheet; Help cover a position that needs a break; Assist guests with questions on how to use the auction software or about the event; Assist guests with iPad bidding or confirming payment of sold item; Assist guests with registering for the auction.

Exit Door Security:
Monitor exit doors and stairways; Guide guests to main entrance to register; Ensure that artwork does not leave the building; Thank guests for supporting the event

Post-Event (Dec. 4 & 5)

Event Break-down:
Removing any hanging hardware, spackling wall, sanding, taking signage down, packing up supplies, collecting parking signage

Check-out & Pick Up:
Assist with providing guests with their winning artwork; Confirm bidder's paid receipt; Confirm that paid artwork matches bidder's paid invoice; Assist winners take artwork to their vehicle as needed

Transportation: 
Take event items to or from Avenue Center and Winter Street
