While I do work at APDA, participating in the Optimism Walk is not part of my job, it’s a personal mission. Team Alix was created from the deep connections I’ve built with the amazing people I’ve met through our exercise classes and programs here at the APDA Missouri Chapter. The many laughs, moments of encouragement, and even the tears we’ve shared have shown me just how much this community means and how vital these free programs truly are.

-Every six minutes, someone is diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease (PD).
-Funds raised support free, local education, resources, and exercise programs, so no one feels alone, no matter where they live.
