I'm participating in the Seattle APDA Optimism Walk and am honored to be the Kitsap "Young at Heart" team captain. Please consider a donation to support my efforts! The APDA Optimism Walk raises funds to support local Parkinson's communities, programs, education, and research.

The Seattle walk is scheduled for September 21st, so we will get together the same day at Battle Point State Park on Bainbridge and we will plan to meet near the picnic shelter. Come join us and walk, wheel, or ride for what has been a great chance to make new friends and make new ones!

With the passage of the National Plan to End Parkinson's Act, we have another reason to be optimistic! 

The National Plan to End Parkinson's Act will help to:

  • Dramatically increase federal research funding
  • Develop more effective pathways for treatments and cures
  • Improve early diagnosis
  • Spark new and improved models for patient care
  • Address health disparities in diagnosis, treatment and clinical trial participation
