I don't think I've ever been quite so moved toward raising awareness or funds for anything as I am about this! Dr. Jeff Brodsky and his mission to walk barefoot in solidarity with impoverished and trafficked children is one of the most noble, honorable and selfless acts of love I've ever seen! He has not had shoes or socks on his feet for over 9 years and has been to and rescued over 2,000 children and young women in 74 countries.
His team not only raises awareness and funds in order to bring an end to the sex trafficking of young girls and many others who are enslaved and subjected to the most vile and wicked acts imaginable....unimaginable actually....but so much more!
They work with the police and other city and government officials to train them on how to rescue these children (as young as 18 months have been rescued), they work together in partnership with other organizations to help the children recover, learn new skills and be reintegrated into society as a whole and amazing individual.
The sex trafficking of young children is a 1.2 billion dollar industry. Arizona is in the top 8 states in the United States. The tafficking of young children is about to surpass the drug selling industry, because unlike a drug, that can only be used once, a child can be used over and over and over, countless times in the most nefarious ways.
