On Tuesday, August 14th, Governor Cuomo declared a State of Emergency throughout 14 counties in New York that will be in effect until August 21. With the extreme weather, many areas that had been planned for the annual AIDS Red Ribbon Ride bike route and overnight camping have been damaged. Several stretches of road are now closed, along with a number of public parks and campgrounds that had been reserved.
To protect the safety of our riders, crew, and volunteers, the volunteer committee and Trillium Health have decided to reschedule the AIDS Red Ribbon Ride (ARRR), which was going to kick off this Saturday morning.
The AIDS Red Ribbon Ride will now be held on September 29th - October 1st.
