The Art of the Party is a vibrant, joyful celebration of the creative spirit. It brings together music, food, culture, and community-the very ingredients that inspire the evening’s live auction packages. The event is both an experience and an invitation: to gather, to celebrate, and to support the arts that make Durham shine.

Party with us to Support the Arts! All proceeds support DAC’s mission including providing arts education opportunities, accessible public exhibits and festivals, and grants and resources to artists and arts organizations.

What to Expect at the Event:

• Sign into the website to start browsing auction items and make a bid early
• Creative Cocktail attire is encouraged
• Park in the Durham Centre Parking Garage
• Party showcases inspired by live auction packages like Bluegrass & BBQ and Jazz & Jambalaya, plus chances to bid on hosting your own artful gathering
• A silent auction featuring local artists and partners
• Interactive arts experiences
• Great food, specialty cocktails, music, and dancing

We’ll also honor Margaret DeMott, DAC Director of Artist Services for her incredible 43 years of service to the arts and to DAC.
