As Jake's family, we are creating this team in his honor for the 21st Annual Autism Walk in Portland. We are raising money to support ASO, as always, but this year we are raising funds specifically for a fund in his memory that will sponsor Water Safety programs for Autistic individuals and their families. Programs will build off of a pilot program started before Covid to include developmentally appropriate water safety and swimming instruction plus sensory friendly swimming events. Jake was a sensory seeker who loved being in the water and spent many happy hours in pools and local beaches with his friends and family.
