Carter was diagnosed with autism towards the end of 2023. He started his evaluation when he was 16 months. Due to wait-list we had to wait months to finish it. That diagnosis opened the doors to so many resources like Autism Society of Southeastern WI. That was the first membership we signed up for and got into. I am so thankful for their supports and resources and events for families. We are still very much at the beginning of our journey, but with help of organizations like this, friends and family who accept Carter for who he is, and my advocacy work, I see a life of achievements for Carter. He used to say mama as a baby, he then lost that word. He now has started saying it again, as well as signing for "more" and hand leading me to things he wants. He will be successful! We would love your support on his journey.
