Aurora is a vital component of Evansville’s non-profit network, which works year round to uplift our city’s most vulnerable. I’m committing 48 hours of my life to better understand how we as a community can better assist Aurora with its mission of preventing homelessness. As Mayor, this is a chance to learn and gain new perspective personally, while also creating a broader sense of community understanding. I hope that we can all share Aurora’s vision that everyone has value and needs a safe, decent, affordable place to call home.

Aurora is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the homeless and near homeless in the Greater Evansville, IN area. Each year, it serves over 500 individuals: men, women, children, those with disabilities, and the re-entry population. 

The Homeless Experience Project is Aurora’s new fundraiser and awareness event and its purpose is to bring a greater understanding of the struggles the families and individuals face when homeless in our community. If you'd like to support Aurora, please donate to my fundraising page!
