I wanted to personally share something that’s really important to me.

On June 8th, I’ll be participating with Theresa in A Walk In Their Shoes—an early morning walk through downtown Charleston to raise awareness and support for Star Gospel Mission. This incredible organization has been helping people facing homelessness and addiction in our city since 1904, and they’re working hard to expand their impact to help raise the vital funds needed for housing and programs for the over 500 children that have been identified as being in some form of homeslessness in Charleston County.  When I heard there were children sleeping in cars, storage units, and abandoned homes with no water or electricity--I knew I wanted to help! 

During the walk, we’ll stop at different stations to hear stories and insights from those on the front lines—people who at one time have been homeless or from those that truly understand the challenges of those who are experiencing addiction and homeslessness.
