I am so grateful to serve AZCEND and see the positive impact when we help people who are struggling with hunger, poverty and homelessness. Lives are changed by the powerful intervention of food, safety and a lifeline of essential services. It's incredible to stop and think about the difference we are making.
I was drawn to AZCEND because my congregation, Valley Unitarian Universalist, has made an ongoing commitment to the IHELP program, housing folks four nights a month and serving meals. During the pandemic, we did this 24/7 for several months.
What keeps me at AZCEND is the wide range of programs that serve needs across generations--from young children and their parents to seniors and everyone in between. We help with food insecurity, early childhood development, housing needs and supports for finanical crises, like utitlity assistance.
