Domestic Violence effects everyone in the household, including companion animals. They are often used as pawns to keep victims in the house and remain within the abuse cycle. We are bowling to help in the fight to not only end Domestic Violence but to raise awarenes regarding the need for shelters to understand the importance of the bond victims have with their animals. If someone needs to bring their animal to a shelter in order to escape the violence at home, they should be allowed to bring that animal. It should not be a barrier to their mental or physical safety.
End this abuse and the barriers that keep people from seeking out help. Join our Alley Cats Bowling Team on March 3rd at 2pm for a fun way to raise awareness and raise funds. Or become a virtual bowler and encourage people to donate for a good cause.
