In January 2012, Olive was born 12 weeks early weighing just 1 pound, 9 ounces. She had a tumultuous start to life and had to fight from the beginning as she faced quite a few complications. But she is a feisty rockstar, and we were blessed to be able to bring her home on May 3, 2012 after a 94 day stay in the NICU and ICC at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis.

The Baby Steps 3k is close to our hearts because the proceeds benefit the neonatal programs at Children's Hospital.  We have the doctors and nurses at Children's to thank for taking wonderful care of Olive. While it was difficult to have a child in the hospital, we couldn't have been at a better place and are forever grateful for the amazing medical care Olive received.
