2014 was a tough year for Josh, Hunter and I. During my 18th week pregnant i started to bleed by the start of my 22nd week pregnant i was admitted into the hospital on bed rest. I was there for 12 days. During thoses 12 days alot happen i was consistanly on contraction medication to stop me from going into labor. On feb 22 I was up going to the bathroom and i had a huge contraction, the doctor came in shortly after to do an ultrasound and when he checked me i was 3 centimeters dialated i kept him in for 5 days longer before i started to go into labor and we couldnt stop it this time, i went into labor naturally and had about 15 people in the room when i gave birth to him. When harrison was born the reason for all my bleeding was my placenta was detaching and there was also a knot in the umbillical cord..crazy right?? Harrison John Evans was born on February 27th at 10:35am 1lbs 10inch, 12 1/2 inches long. Did i mention i was 24 weeks and 5 days when i gave birth. Harrison spent the next 99 days in the NICU and there he was surrounded by the best nurses and doctors any baby could ever ask for, they were our second family and to this day i still talk to 2 of the nurses! did i mention i didnt get to hold him for 1 month..could YOU imagine not holding your child for that long.. me either.. Harry is now 1 years old and is over 20 pounds and youd never know he was EVER a 24 weeker! He amazes us every single day! We love our little red head so much!
