When Avery was 3 days old, she was flown to Children's Hospital of Minnesota with a platelet count of 2,000. She was diagnosed with Neonatal Alloimmune Thrombocytopenia. We are very grateful for the care she received at Children's. After 4 days she was sent home with a platelet count of 270,000! She is now a very happy and healthy 1 year old.
