Caleb was born via emergency c-section due to SVT in utero. When he was born he was filled with fluid and not able to breathe independently and was immediately put on a ventilator. Caleb was diagnosed with WPW (Wolff Parkinson White) syndrome which is a heart arrhythemia that can cause his heart rate to jump to 300 bpm at any moment. The NICU at Children's was amazing during the first few weeks of his life and we are forever thankful for the wonderful care he received during his stay.
