As many of you are aware, I became the proud Auntie to TY and PeyTON (TyTons) on January 14th, 2015.  They surprised everyone, coming in to this world about 14 weeks ahead of schedule but our family was blessed with two tiny miracles. Peyton Debra Schreier was born at 12:54 am, weighing in at 1.5 lbs and 12 inches in long and her brother, Ty Monty Schreier followed at 1:14 am, weighing in at 1.7 lbs and 12 inches long.  

Facing a long road ahead, these beautiful tiny babies would face a long uphill battle. The first challenge came the next night. Ty experienced blood pressure complications and did not make it through the night. Ty will forever be our guardian angel. A week later Peyton needed a small heart surgery to fix a PDA that never closed. Despite all of the bumps in the road, the staff at Children’s were always attentive and so friendly.  

Over the past few months, Peyton has continued to amaze everyone with her strong will and determination. As we patiently await her arrival home, our family knows that we would not have come this far without the wonderful staff and physicians at Children’s. Our tiny little fighter is now over 6 pounds and our family looks forward to our “Peyton updates” and look forward to be able to visit her at her own home.
