Hello to all our family and friends! I am writing because as a family we have decided it is time to give back to the Children's Hospital of Minnesota and specifically the NICU. Most of you know Chris and my story to becoming parents. We continue to be greatful everyday for the support and prayers you sent while our 2 precious miracles Jack and Isaac were born at 25 weeks gestation (hence our team name 2@25) and began their fight for life in the NICU. I remember thinking when they boys were still in the NICU that once they came home I wanted to be able to give back someday by joining the NICU parents group or participating in an event like this. Now that we have moved a significant distance from St. Paul this Baby Steps 3K is the perfect opportunity for us to participate, stay connected and most importantly give back to Children's. Children's is not just a hospital to us, it became our family and home. I have no words to explain what that means to us. This March or April we will be completely the boys final NICU Followup and it is a mix of emotions. I am so very greatful that my boys are healthy, thriving, smart as can be, happy and the most fun boys you will meet, but it also saddens me that this will be our last trip to Children's (for a "clinic visit") to visit our doctors, nurses and receptionsists that we became so very close too. As much as I would like to visit on a regular basis, our location near La Crosse doesn't make it possible and the business of life gets in the way of our best intentions. So I am asking you for your support once again. We would love for you to join our team on May 30, 2015 and walk the 3K out at the MN State Fairgrounds or if you are able to donate to this cause so close to our hearts we would be very greatful.
