Wow another year has passed and our little girl is turning 5 this summer, time has flown by! She will be starting kindergarten in the fall which we have no worries she is ready for, as for Mom and Dad I am not so sure we are ready for this whole school thing! However in hindsight I keep reminding myself how this milestone of starting school could be far different had her recovery not been the amazing story it has turned out to be.
Although Vanessa’s traumatic entry into the world was 5 years ago, the memory and seriousness never goes away of how close we were to losing her. Our hope is that through the funds we raise we are able to help support other babies get the medical help needed just like Vanessa did. I feel more and more I come across stories online about babies with similar situations to hers. It is such an amazing miracle that we have had the privilege to be her parents and share her amazing personality with so many people! Let’s help other babies thrive so they can go on to inspire others just like our Vanessa has!
Additionally, we walk in thanks for what Children’s Hospital has done for Vanessa as well as the many other babies that are receiving medical help each and every day!
