As a child, I remember watching the Price is Right and listening to Bob Barker say help control the pet population have your pets spayed or neutered.  As I got older and had pets of my own, I always had them spayed or neutered.  Life was good.  I did my part.  I never fully understood exactly what he meant by that statement until the day my husband and I came across a feral cat colony.  This colony had twenty-nine cats.  There were four of us trying to trap these cats to have them spayed or neutered, provide food, clean water and shelter when the weather was extreme.  Once we thought we were making progress another stray cat would show up at the colony and of course it wasn't spayed or neutered, so the cycle would begin again.  Our vet was great about reducing the cost of the surgery, but it still became too much.

One day when I was at the colony, I came across a volunteer form Henrico Humane Society.  I was feeling pretty defeated at this point and she said they could help.  I became a volunteer and foster cats/kittens until they find their forever homes.

I am asking for help to raise $1,000 for Henrico Humane Society.  Every donation helps, and no donation is too small.

All money raised will go toward medical expense, food and shelter for these animals.
