Why I participate in Bark on the Beach

This year, I’m proud to participate in the 14th annual Bark on the Beach   

I’m participating in the Beach Walk for Animal Rescue Rhode Island (ARRI) because animals have always been at the center of my life. As a veterinary nurse and a lifelong rescuer, I’ve seen both the heartbreak of neglect and the incredible joy that comes when an animal finally finds safety, care, and love.

My own dogs are my daily reminder of why this cause matters. London, my rescue, is living proof of resilience and second chances. And Brandy, my sweet hospice foster who had her final months filled with love and comfort, taught me how powerful it is to give an animal dignity and peace when they need it most.

I walk for them. I walk for every animal waiting behind shelter doors, hoping for their moment to be chosen. And I walk because I believe every step forward helps create a world where no animal is left behind.
