Barktober Fest FAQs

  • Is the festival only for people with dogs?

No, animal enthusiasts of all kinds will enjoy live music, food trucks, vendors, lawn games, and on-stage animal contests.

  • Do I have to participate in the Walk for the Animals to come to Barktober Fest?

The Walk kicks off the festival and provides much-needed support for the animals at Lollypop Farm, but anyone who enjoys a fun, animal-loving environment is encouraged to come and enjoy everything Barktober Fest has to offer!

  • Can I bring the kids?

Absolutely! Barktober Fest features out Furtastic Family Fun Zone with crafts and activities, a scavenger hunt, bounce house, and dogs of every size and variety to enjoy seeing (what's cuter than a golden retriever dressed up like a taco?) Lollypop Farm's Shelter and Farm Walk are also open for families to visit throughout the festival.

  • Is there an admission fee for the festival?

No, Barktober Fest returns as a free festival in 2022. Donations are always welcome.

  • Where can I park?

Free parking is located in the field across from Lollypop Farm's campus at 99 Victor Road, Fairport NY 14450. Handicapped parking is available with appropriate permit in a paved lot on campus.

  • How can I become a volunteer?

Contact Lollypop Farm's Volunteer Manager, Karen Stolt, at kstolt@lollypop.org or 585-223-1330 extension 231.

  • What if it rains?

Barktober Fest and the Walk for the Animals will be held rain or shine.
