Junior Achievement (JA) is an awesome organization that teaches youth about finances, economics and business - all important information to succeed in today's world. Because of my background in this area and interest in helping youth excel, I have taught JA in numerous classrooms over the past 15 years; several years at my kids' elementary school (Crissey Elementary). Each year is rewarding in its own way, but when the students recognize you in the community (at the grocery, park, etc.) and introduce you to their parents as their JA teacher noting things from the lessons, you know you've had an impact!
