About Big Brothers Big Sisters of Vermont

BBBSVT is a statewide one-to-one mentoring program serving children and youth since 1975.  We provide adult mentors for kids age 6-17 in community and site-based settings throughout Vermont. Our business office is located in Brattleboro.

Mentoring is a FUN way to support kids in a very meaningful way.  Studies show that youth mentored through a BBBS program are more likely to succeed in school and develop healthy relationships with their family and peers; they are less likely to participate in risky behavior such as alcohol/substance use; and are more likely to feel valued and accepted within their communities than their non-mentored peers.

We are currently enrolling volunteers ages 18 - 88 and youth ages 6-17. Visit to apply to become a mentor "Big" or to refer a child "Little" today!

Our Vision. All youth achieve their full potential.

Our Mission. Create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.
