My Personal BBFD Fundraising Page
Why I Food Drive
The Beat Bama Food Drive is an annual tradition that takes place not only on Auburn's campus, but throughout the entire Auburn community. Each year we strive to collect cans and donations for the food insecure people on East Alabama. All of the donations go to support the Food Bank of East Alabama, who in turn distrubutes that food to food pantrys and kitchens throughout our area. At the end of the drive, all of the food is counted up and the monetary donations are factored in, and Auburn's Beat Bama Food Drive's total is put up against the University of Alabama's food drive, Beat Auburn Beat Hunger, to see who collected the most! Last year we collected over 211,625 lbs of food, and BEAT BAMA!! Although the feeling of beating Alabama is oh so sweet, the feeling of helping out the community that I have grown to love so much is priceless. Thats why I ask you to help me fight hunger throughout the Auburn area, to support a community who supports so many, and to not let someone go to bed hungry tonight. Even the smallest donation can make a big difference.
