This year I have the privilege of serving on the Committee for the Beat Bama Food Drive. For the next six weeks we will be collecting cans and raising donations for the Food Bank of East Alabama in a competition against the University of Alabama. Food Insecurity affects so many people in our communities, and any amount of donation or collection of cans helps to provide meals for those that need it. One dollar can provide seven meals!
