As many of you know, I am the Associate Overnight Camp Director at BB360 (formerly known as BB Camp). I'm a 4th generation, 18-year BB Camper and have been a part of every program we offer; from attending Camp as a child, working seasonally as a college student, and now as a year-round team member and adult participant in Mens Camp. Being able to maintain the relationships I have with members of the Jewish Community through my childhood and into my adult life is what makes BB360 so important to me as I am able to interact with my former counselors and current/former campers and continue the threads of connection through another generation of BB Camp lifers. I'm emailing today to ask for your support in my personal fundraiser on Giving Tuesday, Dec 3rd. Our small but mighty organization has set a goal of raising $120,000 and would love your support. Every gift--from $10-$1000 helps me reach my personal goal of $180 which will support BB360 in fulfilling its mission all year long.
For many, our overnight camp is our signature program. This magical community nourishes lifelong friendships, leadership skills, and spiritual growth. All year, kids from the Pacific Northwest and beyond anticipate returning to camp to truly disconnect and reconnect with friends, counselors, and staff. We believe that Camp is for everyone, so for those who can’t afford it, we offer robust scholarships, grants, and financial aid to ensure kids can have this impactful experience.
We also believe in running programming for those in need in our community. For example, we started a day camp in Lincoln County (where the overnight camp is located) for kids who had inadequate childcare (Lincoln County is a "day care desert". These kids not only get the gift of camp but are fed 2 hot meals a day. We also continue to feed the food insecure and victims of fire and flooding in Tillamook and Lincoln County—with over 379,580 meals AND COUNTING!! )
