About 20 years ago, a great friend convinced me to attend an event at the B'nai Brith Overnight Camp at Devil's Lake. Since then, BB 360 has become so important to me that I've joined the board and just became Co-President. In honor of that friend, who died earlier this year at age 99, I would be most grateful if you would help support our charitable work.
Why is BB 360 so important to me?
- We run overnight and day camps across the state where children can be safe and joyful, leaving a bit of this messy world behind for a few hours or days.
- We feed people in need. In the past three years every time there is a crisis or natural disaster in Lincoln County, we fire up our kitchens and provide meals. We've served nearly 400,000 meals since the pandemic and the fires. And when floods hit Tillamook County last year, we jumped in to serve meals to people who had to evacuate.
- Our camp is 100% ADA accessible, so every child can be a part of our camp. And nearly all of our campers receive scholarships to help defray the cost of camp.
I could go on and on about the good we do. But look, in these tumultuous times, can I ask my friends and family to support our work with a small donation? Even $18 provides a dozen meals or more for hungry families. And if you can afford a little more, every dollar goes to help a kid or a family in need.
I am asking for your support in my personal fundraiser on Giving Tuesday, Dec 3rd. Our small but mighty organization has set a goal of raising $120,000 and would love your support. Every gift--from $10 to $1000 -- will support BB360 in fulfilling its mission all year.
Thank you for helping us make a difference.
