As many of you know, I am the on the board of BB360 (formerly known as BB Camp) and this year have taken on the Treasurer role. BB Camp, now BB360, has been an important part of my grandfather's life (Men's camp), my parent's lives (BB Camp), my life (BB Camp & Rejewvenation) and now my daughter's life (BB Camp). Not only does BB360 meet people where they are in their Jewish lives, giving them a safe space to share, learn and grow, but it provides a "happy place" for so many in the PNW. BB Camp is the only fully ADA accessible camp in the PNW and proactively addresses MESH and inclusivity to provide our children a place where they can thrive. Our overnight and day camps nourish lifelong friendships, leadership skills, and spiritual growth. All year, kids from the Pacific Northwest and beyond anticipate returning to camp to truly disconnect from the every day and reconnect with friends, counselors, and staff. For those that can’t afford it, we offer scholarships to ensure kids can have this impactful experience.BB360 is also now actively working to give young adults a way to continue being part of our kehilah or community, even after their camp years, and keeping people in touch with each other and their love for camp on into every age.
Additionally, BB360 is a philanthropic organization, using our amazing campus to help feed the food insecure and victims of fire and flooding in Tillamook and Lincoln County (379,580 meals and counting) and provide a safe space for local youth in the summer and on school breaks. For example, we started a day camp in Lincoln City (where the overnight camp is located) for kids who were being dropped off at the nearby casino with only a bag of quarters, only vending machine food and no supervision until their parents clocked out of work! These kids not only get the gift of camp, but are fed 2 hot meals a day. Working with our local community in Lincoln City has been rewarding for all parties and we look forward to continuing these great relationships. If you want more information, check out our website https://bb-360.org/ or drop me a line and I will give you more details!
I'm emailing today to ask for your support in my personal fundraiser on Giving Tuesday, Dec 3rd. Our small but mighty organization has set a goal of raising $120,000 and would love your support. Every gift - from $10-$1000 helps me reach my personal goal of $600 (or more!) which will support BB360 in fulfilling its mission all year long.
Thank you for helping us make a difference. You are truly appreciated.
