Helping those in need to enjoy the special joy of a complete Thanksgiving meal is what the Caring Community Basket Brigade initiative has been doing since 2016.
Because so many families are now struggling every day to make ends meet, we estimate that 1,000 families from across the Capital Region will need our help this year. How many families we are able to feed depends on your help.
Currently, we are accepting monetary donations, to help us purchase turkeys and other items necessary to complete each meal.
Want to donate items? To feed a family of four, we need these items for each basket:
2 cans / jars of gravy
2 cans of fruit
4 cans of veggies
1 can of cranberry sauce
2 boxes of stuffing
1 box of potatoes
1 can of yams
1 box of cake or brownie mix
Items will be collected by November 11th at any of our 8 branches: Bethlehem, Glenville, Greenbush, Greene County, Guilderland, Schenectady, Southern Saratoga, Troy
