Daniel's Personal BBFD Campaign
Why do I BBFD?
Since 1994, the Beat Bama Food Drive (BBFD) has collected over 2 million pounds of food supporting the Food Bank of East Alabama, one of the eight members of the Alabama Food Bank Association. In the span of six weeks each fall, Auburn University and the University of Alabama's Beat Auburn, Beat Hunger compete to see which institution can collect the most non-perishable and monetary donations for their respective local food bank.
Last fall of 2014 as Director of 5k, my event contributed to raising over 198,000 pounds of food for the Food Bank of East Alabama in time for the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holiday seasons.
This year returning as Vice-President of Event Coordination, I have made it my personal goal to raise at least $1,000 for the 22nd Annual Beat Bama Food Drive.
From age 7 through 18, I collected food in the annual Scouting for Food Drive in my hometown of Belleville, Illinois. Upon arriving in Auburn, Alabama it was my wish to get involved in my new community through volunteer work. Beat Bama Food Drive has served as a great opportunity for me to give back to the community in which I live.
Help me continue to fight food insecurity in my community by donating to my personal Beat Bama Food Drive campaign today!
