2:30 PM | Creative Session I
Guests participate in their first hands-on workshop experience, crafting something beautiful to take home.

3:00 PM | Fine Arts Spotlight
We gather together for special remarks and performances, including a featured women’s choral ensemble and additional glimpses into the flourishing Fine Arts program at Live Oak.

3:15 PM | Creative Session II
A second round of creative sessions allows guests to continue making, learning, and delighting in the artistic process.

3:45 PM | Auction & Raffle Winners Announced
The silent auction closes and raffle winners for a curated gift package are announced. Final announcements and checkout conclude the afternoon, sending guests home with handmade pieces, joyful memories, and the shared satisfaction of supporting Live Oak’s Fine Arts program.

Creative Sessions

At Behold, guests are invited to step into beauty through thoughtfully curated creative sessions led by talented artists from our Live Oak community and crafted to be welcoming, inspiring, and joy-filled. Whether you come ready to create or simply eager to try something new, you’ll leave with something beautiful in your hands and a renewed delight in the arts.

The Wonder of Watercolor | Emily Stephens

In this watercolor session, Emily will guide guests through the gentle layering and fluid movement that make watercolor so captivating. Whether you’re brand new to watercolor or returning to it after years away, this workshop will help you delight in the wonder of creating something uniquely your own.

Emily teaches watercolor and nature studies at Live Oak where she delights in watching each student create and discover. Outside of Live Oak, Emily works as a practicing artist, painting and sharing her work with others. Emily is deeply grateful to be part of the Live Oak community and to share in cultivating beauty through the arts!

Fresh Floral Design | Lauren Murray, laurel + finch

Step into the beauty of floral design with Lauren Murray, owner and lead designer of Laurel + Finch. In this hands-on workshop, guests will learn the art preparing stems, layering focal blooms, and adding those final touches that make an arrangement feel effortless and refined. 

Lauren is the owner and lead designer of Laurel + Finch Floral Design Company and a proud Live Oak mom. Her passion for design took root at Baylor University, where she earned her degree in Interior Design. With over 15 years of experience in the floral industry, Lauren delights in helping others discover the joy of working with flowers.

Creating Beauty with Fiber | Kari Allman

Join Kari for a hands-on workshop where guests will design and create a beautiful custom tea towel. Using painterly techniques inspired by printmaking and botanical forms, you’ll layer color, texture, and pattern to create a functional and beautiful fabric perfect for your home or a thoughtful gift. 

Kari teaches Fiber Arts for Live Oak’s Logic & Rhetoric students. Kari and her husband Chris also have two children at Live Oak! Kari studied painting at Baylor University and began her career in Austin creating custom decorative art finishes in private residences. Her creative touches have been all around Waco including decorative finishes and backdrops for Magnolia, murals at Shorty's Pizza Shack and Compleo, and mosaic pieces at Washington Gallery.

Throughout the afternoon, featured artists will add yet another layer of beauty to the experience, offering live demonstrations and instrumental performances as creative sessions unfold. Their artistry in motion will enrich the atmosphere, inviting guests not only to create—but to behold.

Sarah Yoo | Cellist & Live Oak Alumna, Class of 2025

As an accomplished cellist, Sarah Yoo (Class of 2025) will delight guests with her gift of music. A Falcon since Kindergarten, Sarah was actively involved in Fine Arts at Live Oak through choir, theatre, art, and mock trial - in addition to being a House Leader, Student Ambassador, and student athlete. 

A faithful presence in Chapel and school events, Sarah frequently shared her gift of music through the cello, enriching the life of the community with her artistry. She now attends Baylor University as part of the Business Fellows program, carrying with her the foundation she built at Live Oak.

Kaleigh Harper | Artist & Live Oak Faculty

During Behold, guests will have the opportunity to watch Kaleigh Harper at work in a live artist session, seeing her creative process unfold in real time. A cherished member of Live Oak’s Fine Arts faculty, Kaleigh has faithfully cultivated creativity across every division of the school—from our youngest Grammar students to our seniors preparing to graduate. Through painting, sketching, sculpting, and more, she has helped students discover both skill and confidence, nurturing in them a love for beauty and artistic excellence.

A gifted artist in her own right, Kaleigh brings both technical mastery and heartfelt joy to her work, enriching the Live Oak community through both her teaching and her art.

Hannah Herber | Harpist & Live Oak Mom

Guests will also enjoy the rare and beautiful gift of live harp music from Live Oak parent Hannah Herber. A devoted mother of multiple Live Oak students, Hannah generously shares her musical artistry with our community, bringing a sense of elegance, peace, and wonder to every gathering she graces. Her harp performance will add a luminous backdrop to the afternoon—an uncommon and lovely treat to behold.
