Bringing JOY to Belize!

Dear Friends, Family, Business Partners, and Valued Organizations,

I am thrilled to announce that I, Susie Delo, founder of You Matter Foundation, have been invited to join the 2025 JOY International Ministry Team on a mission trip to Belize. My testimony, expertise, and dedication to mental and situational awareness self-defense are seen as valuable assets for this mission, and I would be incredibly grateful for your support!

Two years ago, I had the privilege of working with the children in Belize, and now I've been asked to return to assist and train the caregivers who tirelessly serve these children. This trip is designed to bless and encourage both the residents and the dedicated staff of children’s homes, aftercare shelters, transition homes, and vocational training programs that serve individuals impacted by trafficking and trauma.

During the first part of the trip, our team will minister directly to the children, youth, and adults living in these homes and shelters. Through prayer, relationship-building, and acts of service, we aim to bring JOY, hope, and healing to those in recovery.

In the final days, we will host a specialized training and retreat for the staff and long-term volunteers of these ministries—those who work tirelessly to care for survivors and vulnerable populations across Belize. These frontline workers are often overworked and face burnout due to the intense and emotional nature of their roles. The retreat offers them a rare opportunity to rest, connect, learn, and grow alongside others who understand the weight of their work.

As a member of the JOY Ministry Team, I will be involved in leading sessions, praying for staff, facilitating small group discussions, and supporting attendees in any way possible. By empowering those who serve survivors, we can extend healing even further.

To participate in this mission, I am raising $2,200 to cover travel, lodging, meals, and the necessary materials for our ministry efforts.
