Dear friends and family,
I've been invited again to join the JOY team going to Belize in August, to help bring hope and healing to girls rescued from trafficking. Freedom is more than escape, it's the restoration of hope, dignity, and purpose.
We will be partnering with local organizations that provide safe housing, trauma counseling, education, and job training for girls who have been rescued. Additionally, we will also HOST a retreat and training for the staff and volunteers of the same organizations.
The first part of the trip, our team will work directly with the children, youth, and adults living in these homes and shelters. Through relationship-building, acts of services, and prayer, we hope to bring JOY, hope and healing to those in recovery.
In the final days, the team will host a specialized training and retreat to the staff and long-term volunteers from these organizations - those who work tirelessly to care for survivors and vulnerable populations across Belize. These frontline workers often face burnout due to the intense and emotional nature of their roles. The retreat offers them a rare opportunity to rest, connect, learn, and grow alongside others who understand the weight of the work.

As a member of the JOY Team, I’ll be part of leading sessions, praying for staff, facilitating small group discussions, and supporting attendees however I can. By strengthening the people who serve survivors, we help extend that healing even further.
To be part of this mission, I’m raising $2,200, which covers travel, lodging, meals, and the materials needed to carry out our time with the girls/youth/caretakers.
